A modern take on 18th century inspiration, and winner of Best Original Design in the 2026 Northern Woods Exhibition. This chair incorporates brass inlays over fanciful hand carved curves.

These represent the current status of my pursuit to make each of the Platonic, Archimedean, and Catalan solids. Each shape starts with a unique geometry problem and is then meticulously mapped onto a cube and cut with a handsaw.

This table uses inlaid marquetry to represent a natural scene. It features a drawer and a top that folds up to be used as a writing desk.

This door is made from oak and walnut. It features a round window and book-matched paneling within a geometric pattern. Eventually there will be stained glass in the window.

This bench was made in in collaboration with the Winona Parks Department as a memorial for a beloved community member. It is built from wood found near the site and overlooks a beautiful view of the city.

The top of this table rotates, which powers a mechanism causing the central flower motif to open to an inner cabinet. It features carvings of acanthus and dragons.

The Octascope is an octahedron nested inside three orthogonal rings, through which it can rotate about three independent axis. If aligned just right, it can rotate through all three axis simultaneously. This causes the hedron to open, revealing a hidden compartment.

This is a sculpture of a rotten apple turned from a beautiful piece of burl wood.

This lamp is made from oak which has been steam bent into simple, elegant curves.

This painting is representative of my “Faerie Land” style, in which I paint up close scenes of nature from a low perspective point. This gives the viewer a sense of being very small.

This painting is representative of my surrealist style. I enjoy making detailed scenes of chaotic nonsense. Various organic textures flow into one another seamlessly. Your mind can interpret what you see, but there is no way to verbally describe it.

This is part a series of animal paintings done in mostly monochrome brown. This series explored movement and the textures of muscular and wrinkly animals.

Dungeon in a can is a fully mechanical, pocket sized video game in which the player explores a trapped filled dungeon. They must find and use blocks to neutralize the traps and make their daring escape.

This is a (thus far) one off painting of a dancer composed of many simple shapes. The shapes are intended to capture the balance, weight, and tension of the moving figure.

I enjoy making hats using a hat block I carved to exactly fit my own head.
